Wanderlust Summer 2015 (Montenegro - Part 2)

Montenegro, though only being a country for 9 years, is very rich in history.  Old Town in Kotor is located inside the old fortress walls.  There are only 3 gates to enter or exit and the wall climbs up the mountain side.  While we were there a few of us decided to hike to the top of the wall.  It is a very steep, slippery hike but the views are incredible!  We had to take several breaks to catch our breath and of course I took this time to take several pictures!

The way back down was a little quicker, mainly because we didn't want to stop and let our legs realize how bad they were hurting!  While we were waiting out side the walls for a cab to take us back to our apartment it was really neat to see where we had just hiked!

Needless to say we were all very excited to be able to take a dip in the bay following that!

The next morning a few of us went to a park right outside of the Old Town walls in hopes to play with some of the local kids.  It was a little difficult to get the parents comfortable with us, but a few of them finally were ok with it.

After a while, we packed it in and decided to go for a swim.  Darjen, our local friend took us to the jumping rock to do some cliff jumping!

Next up, 4th of July...Montenegro style!
