Whirl-Wind Weekend of Fun!

This was a busy weekend for me to say the least, but I had a blast catching up with so many wonderful people!!

Friday after work, I booked it over to Austin to surprise one of my oldest and dearest friends, Ashley, on her 25th birthday.  Ainsley put together one of the greatest surprise parties I've been to, Ashley really had no idea!!

I was so excited to see Tana, Randy and Michelle again (it has been far far too long) and I finally got to meet Ainsley, her fiance Ty, and Jared!

We danced the night away and caught up on old times!

So happy that through all these years I still have these wonderful ladies as friends!! Happy Birthday Ashley!!!!

I woke up bright and early on Saturday to travel westward for two wedding showers for my brother and Jessica! The first shower I got to catch up with some family and family friends and checked out the loot of goodies Jessica got to open!!

The second shower was put together by a few of the Coaches and Coaches wives from back in the day.  Let me tell you, this group is always a riot.  I loved listening to stories from all the trips to games and on some of the stories I'm not sure how we actually made it to the games!!  You won't find another group like this in a million years!  Each one of these people have impacted mine and so many other Sweetwater lives in the best ways!!

Sunday, I made the trek back to Waco and lets just say when I went to bed I slept like a baby!!  Truly a great weekend with the greatest people!!

Just Because...

I obviously don't brag about how amazing my family is enough...but really they are! I'm so beyond blessed to have such a wonderful family.  I love that we are so close knit, it's nice always knowing that they are there when I need them!!

Today, in particular, I'm super proud of my three younger cousins, Austin (Munchkin), Alli, and Tyler, if for no other reason, than that they are truly amazing people!!

When Austin was first born I started calling him Munchkin...I honestly couldn't tell you why (maybe because I'm small and he was smaller than me..who knows)!  But now, as he ends his Junior year of high school he is definitely not a "munchkin".  I know everyone says it all the time, but I truly am so, so, very proud of the young man he has become! He is a good big brother for Tyler to look up to and one that will always be there to protect his little sister (even if he picks on her ALL the time, he is the only one allowed to do that)!! Here he is at prom with his girlfriend Holly....How handsome is he!!!

Allison is ending in her first year in middle school...to me that just seems unreal!  There are so many qualities that I admire in her.  She has a beautiful soul that shines from the inside out.  She is so creative and has such a wild imagination that only fuels her creativity! I'm constantly amazed at what all she can do.  She is also blessed with great musical talent, here she is at her latest piano concert!

Tyler, there aren't enough words to describe the ole T-Bone.  The once self-proclaimed "Burper King" has become one of the sweetest, most genuine people you will ever meet!  He has a crazy, fun side and can always bring out the 'kid' in anyone.  When we get together for family functions the phrase "Gotta love that T-Bone" is said constantly, because he honestly has the funniest things to say about anything and everything.  He is also one of the most athletic ones of our family, I am in awe of his skills on the basketball court and especially on the baseball field!

Now that I live in Waco, I'm further away from them and I miss getting to attend all of their activities.  But if you couldn't tell, I'm just so proud of the awesome people they are becoming! Love you all so much!!

Told you I don't brag on my family enough......  :)
